I have always been a creative person, compelled to translate what I see onto paper or canvass. Art has always been a passion to me. I have been painting for more than 15 years. As my work became popular I decided to take my Art more seriously and I began marketing my work professionally in 2007. I paint regularly with other artists. I now have work exhibited in several Glasgow Galleries and I am currently expanding the area where I display and sell work.
My style of painting is contemporary and I enjoy depicting the Scottish landscape using vibrant colours. My favourite medium is oil and I continue to be fascinated by the range of texture that it is possible to create. I have traveled to many places in Europe and beyond and I am inspired to paint scenes of places I have visited. There are many beautiful views in the world but my inspiration is not only derived from obvious beauty spots. Everywhere I look I am fascinated by the wonder of the skies above and the transformation that is caused by light and shade and shifting colours. I am always drawn back by the beauty of the Scottish landscape. I feel very lucky to live in this small country with close access to magnificent mountains, wonderful islands, beautiful beaches and the natural colour range that changes with the seasons.
